STING DONATES GUITAR TO GVST

 

The international rock superstar Sting has donated one of his guitars to GVST. We plan to auction the guitar at one of our events. Individuals who would like to acquire this guitar are asked to contact GVST via our contact page.

LEGACY and CHANGE

 

GVST will address the specific problems identified above and through detailed and well-planned activities during the stop-overs of the GOR and by the establishment of GVST Centres for Change in each location, to continue GVST’s work or by adding to existing local organisations, will encourage, motivate and help individual beneficiaries to realise that life is and can be better. The ultimate legacy will be to identify and train individuals who will be leaders for change in their own communities.

 

It is a “huge ask” and one that can be achieved through life-skills coaching using sailing as a medium. Contrary to popular belief sailing is not an elitist sport, it is a great vehicle for change and one that will help GVST’s staff to promote their coaching and achieve tangible results.

More volunteers

GVST is always looking for volunteers to assist at each of the locations where it's activities take place, be it in Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, Uruguay or in the USA. Coaches, sailors, drivers, safety boat skippers or volunteers who have fresh ideas or a desire to help should contact Piers Williams at the address set out on our contact page.
